Awwhun, it's so damn hard and even worse when you get told SLEEP promotes SLEEP.. well ummm i know but tell me HOW to get them to sleep.
Z wont take a dummy, at all and when i was having MAJOR issues getting her to sleep i found she really liked having a crocheted blanket, she could get her fingers through it and snuggle it close but still breath, now she goes to bed, i give her her blanket she sooks for no more than 5min and then she sleeps.
She basically on has 2 days sleeps though and they can be from 30min-2hrs (generally 30min though).
After say 3pm i have basically NO CHANCE of getting her to sleep, she screams and screams and screams, she has to be cuddled and carried around until she has tea, i have tea she has a bath etc then is fed to sleep, she still wakes 1-2 times overnight.
I hope something is helping hun, maybe try a 'comfort' toy or crocheted blanket (i think i have a spare if you need one), i'd suggest making it something she doesn't get during a feed or play time, let her associate it as a safe 'bedtime' thing IYKWIM.
Good luck.... if you ever need a break i'm not far away.

, missy isn't sleeping in the day at the moment either. I think she's just a kid that doesn't need much sleep - but still gets cranky!
