How old and what is the weight of your girls ? The duo says it takes 18kg per seat ?
DD1 is 16kg and DD2 is 11.5kg. The Duo takes 20kg a seat, I think? It definitely an exercising pram, completely different to the Select. But I love the Select for all it's features and it's been worth every penny. I wouldn't use my Duo for the shops, I'd prefer the length of the Select over the width of the Duo for shopping. Especially as you can position the Select seats so the length isn't an issue at all (ie both seats facing away from you, it's no different to a normal pram). Mountain Buggy also have a Duet which is a very narrow double so that could be worth a look. I'd definitely want to test ride the eldest child in it though cause even our Duo has narrow seats.

We spent a lot of money to have a pram that could take a baby and a toddler. But in reality, we very rarely had both in it. DS2 mostly cried if he wasn't in the sling so I wore him everywhere. DS1 also liked to walk everywhere so mostly the pram was a very expensive shopping bag carrier! If I had my time again I'd get a cheap stroller for toddler and spend more money on baby carriers.

Can definitely agree with this , which is why we aren't buying any new pram / stroller before Bub 2 is here ..
I have the city mini that DD goes in now and is happy in , so we can put her in that , plus out car capsule can clip into that as well if we need . I also have a close carrier and ergo which I love and plan to use a lot of ..
Thing is I am a big walker not only go getting around but also I walk for exercise always have everyday , and not sure how I can do that without having them both in a pram or stroller ...
