I was gonna ask this actually! hehe. I was going to defer it this time until the 2 month needles, but not sure how they make it up after that.
Most of my clients defer to 2 months or don't have it at all.

why is that? isn't it important to have it?
Tehya had her first shot at 2 weeks, then went on and had it at 2 and 4 months too.
Not sure how I will work it this time around. Although I do know that bub won't be having it at birth. Nor the Vit K if it's not really needed.
Bindy, you have to ask yourself, really, what are the chances or a newborn baby getting hepatitis ?? I don't see too many out sharing needles or having unprotected sex. But that's just my opinion. Be careful, it might open a can of worms. LOL.
We declined and you dont get a catch up shot- the just get the usual 2 and 4 instead. Our midwife told us when we kind of said we didnt know if we should, that if we felt our lifestyle was such that we were in contact with needle users or people who may have it then to get it but if not - then to wait til her 2mth shots. She basically suggested that they have to offer it to everyone but its actually been introduced for high risk groups -not the general public, having said that they cant discriminate so everyone is offered it. Hope that makes sense and is just what we were told when making our decision!
Vit K - you can request to have it given orally, and is recommended I think. Iz had the needle though.
thanks guys! the qwuestion was from me
Basically babies get hepatitis shots at birth, 2 months, 4 months and again at 12 months.
Mason skipped the birth shot, had it at 2 and 4 months and i was asking again now at 6 months but she said we didnt need it
I just wanted to make sure. Thanks!
