Yes, she did remove him, but she should have done sooner. I think its telling that she didn't ask the child to apologize. That's how you teach your child and that's what a parent does.
It doesn't matter if the child could possibly have aspergers, there are plenty of mums with aspy kids and I know they wouldn't walk out without saying sorry. Aspy kids need manners too!
