I used to dress my kids in an extra layer and have the column heater on in their room, otherwise I bought them those polar fleece jumpsuits (they are from target, about $20) which go up to a size 6 I think. DS has a pair this year in a size 4.
Last winter my DD slept in grobags & they were great. However we weaned her off them slowly & she has just been sleeping with a blankee. Well nows its getting cold & the last two nights she has been kicking off her blanket, even if I tuck it in around her tightly. So does anyone have any tricks or suggestions?

I don't know LOL! I use a sleeping bag (with long sleeves) for my DS2 and he manages to stay warm.
Might have to check them out, as she was an ice block early this morning!
Yeah go the sleeping baggy - you could even make a few pretty easy if you are a sewer.
I just dress Charlotte as if she isnt having blankets at all. she has always thrown them off, so now I just take it for granted that she will lol
lots of layers, and woolens![]()
Grobag sell a set called the first duvet set, if you google it you'l find it. The doona cover zips onto the fitted sheet to the covers can't be kicked off in the night. If you're handy with a sewing machine I'm sure it wouldn't take much to make your own??
we have one of those polarfleece jumpsuits too. the sprout ones are awesome and are 25%off at myer atm. they have a hot pink girls' one![]()
Do kids actually get cold during the night?????![]()
ATM dd is sleeping in our bed and DH always (summer or winter) sleep with the fan on. She will kick out from under our dona and lay ON it. Her little legs would be icy, but as soon as you pull the cover over her, she kicks it off .. so I gave up. I sleep with a spare blanky under my pillow and will just cover her during the night, E*V*E*R*Y* time she kicks her open
Honestly ... I'm just going to dress her in like 6 singlets and 2 pairs of pj's come winter. I actually have a good mind to let her sleep in her gown and slippers![]()
Ummm i have no answer unfortunately cept the Grobag! lol
Mine have been the same---damn wrigglers!! haha

LOL Rainy you should be encouraging me to spend! But those hot pink girly ones do sound so tempting....
I've seen the duvet's but they are so expensive & unfortunately I am not handy with a sewing machine!!
Might just have to go for the extra thick sleeping suits!
