oh yes, the biting I must admit that DD has backed off now....more kissing motions now, thank goodness but golly! Those little nippers are darn sharp! On the odd occasion when I wasn't expecting it, I'd yelp and like your little one, DD would cry from the shock of me yelping. When I could see her about to do it, it was very cheeky on her part as she would attempt more bites if I told her no!
So to combat this darlin' little nipper......as DD is very clingy with me, I'd walk away from her after telling her firmly, 'no, don't bite' or I'd move her away from me. But I'd also give her something else to put in her mouth like a toy/teether etc. She'd get sooky and after a minute of her being very very sad or chasing me I'd give her a big cuddle and say more gently, "don't bite, biting is bad behaviour"...............now I know she doesn't understand words, but I am trying to teach her repetition as in consequence for her because of her behaviour - so me putting distance between her and I or, occasionally I'd give her hand a firm squeeze.....not crush!!!! And I don't tap her hand either, but that's just what I do.
Like I said, its actually seemingly died down now and she is more interested in eating my face trying to give me a big kiss!
