What worked for me was saying no very firmly and moving him away from me firmly (not rough). He still bit me a couple of times (once he drew blood, he has very sharp teeth!) but it stopped after a week or so.
He is now scratching when he is frustrated but at least I broke one habit before it got too settled!
Yup DS went through that stage - he hasn't done it for a few months now.
The first time it happened I smacked him cos I was so shocked!!! Not to mention it bloody hurt!!!
Then after that, (and I started up a few threads about it on here) when it happened, I would say "OUCH" and "NO" really loudly and pick him up and put him in the middle of the room away from all his toys and walk away. He would cry, and then try to follow, but I would put him back in his spot and make him sit there for about a minute by himself, and then I would pick him up and give him cuddles and tell him he was very naughty for biting mummy and not to do it.
Must of worked cos he sometimes goes to bite me, but I see him coming now and say "No" and he backs off...
My son is a chronic biter. Its generally out of frustration and not knowing how to express his fellings.
I have yet to find a way to stop this, he is too young for time out, smacking etc to help this issue.
THey just simply dont know how to express what ever emotion they are feeling.

Aston was biting too - and I read something in toddler tactics and started doing that. I say STOP frimly and loudly. initially when he had already done it, now if I see him going to do it, I say it. and he stops...
DS did this too. At home and at daycare. His was out of frustration and once he learned a few more words and was able to express himself the biting decreased dramatically.
Try not to scream at her. apart from potentially frightening her, which you dont mean to do, she may decide she likes the reactiona nd do it again to get a repeat performance.
A firm no and moving her away may not seem like it is working but it was the best advice I recieved.
