how to handle going back t work with a 6 month old...
So as of April i will be going back to work, still a little while away but its playing on my mind.
MIL and FIL will be looking after her for one of the weeks and DH will be looking after her the other weeks (he works week on week off) he has NEVER looked after her by himself. he has fed her once and she threw it all back up on him MIL/FIL look after her a fair bit so im not too worried about them. I will be working 3-4 days a week, not sure how many hours, probably no more than 6 (i work at subway if you were wondering) its good money and my bosses are awesome
anyway, DD is bf atm, she takes formula as well, im scared that my going to work will decrease my supply so much that i wont even be able to do a night and morning feed. will i still have to give her formula the days that im not working? will my supply be that screwed up?
what do i offer MIL for watching DD while i work? ill be taking the food and i buy nappies and leave them at their place, so they dont really pay for anything (unless they go and buy it without my asking)
Im so scared that i wont be able to stray organised ive never been a very organsied person and im so worried that im going to have a hard time, i havent voiced this to DH coz i dont want him to worry, im worried abut him coz he's never loked after her. he truelly is very unhelpful, i dont pull him up on it coz i hate nagging but once i go back to work i expect him to pull his finger out. ill be working 3-4 a week, every week, lokking after DD PLUS keeping ontop of housework, i swear to god if he calls me lazy then I WILL LOOSE IT!!
Should i start (when it gets close to me going to work) weaning her onto formula more (at the moment she only get it when she's being looked after by MIL or if she's eating more than usual, my supply cant keep up with her when she's super hungry and eating lots)
But mainly, someone just needs to tell me this is ok!! lol. someone needs to tell me if this is not a good idea! am i bad mum for leaving her so younge? at least she's with MIL i guess, but then i feel bad for leaving her with them, they've raised their kids they dont need to raise mine
Thanks ladies xxx
ps. re: DH.. should i make him start looking after her for a little while every now and then by himself so he isnt just thrown into the deep end?
