How long did your baby's birth certificate take to come back?

Well, we finally have DS birth certificate, and it only took 12 weeks!

I contacted them a week ago, and said to expect DDs mid-November!!!!! Thats about 12 weeks too! Maybe its a QLD thing?

I was wondering if they had an influx of forms being sent in due to end of financial year? Possibly some people holding off until the baby bonus increased, and others getting in before it increased (in case they were not eligible for it after the 1st of july?)

I don't think they should be charging our credit cards so early, then taking so long to get the thing processed and sent though!

Mine took 3 weeks, I recieved it last week.
It must depend on the area you live in?

Mine took 3 months. I don't think I would've ever got it though if I didn't ring up about it. They took the money out ages ago so I thought it would eventually arrive but it didn't. I finally thought about it during business hours and rang up to query it. Apparently someone didn't press the button on the computer that sends the certificate out. I received it the day after I made the phone call.

Molly was born 4th September and it took us 5 days from when we sent the form to get the birth certificate back. The decorative one took a week longer.

i actually had to phone up yesterday and find out where ds was he was born 15th june & still hadnt recieved it! they said payment didnt go threw but have the bank statement from which acc the money was already taken blo0dy ridiculous! who knows when it'll rock up now!

We got DD's the week before last. So took roughly 6 weeks. I called them to enquire and they were able to tell me when it was due to be printed. Even though my money was taken out 2 days after i mailed it in.

hi, i too am waiting for mine to arrive, i called after 10 weeks and they said it would be posted that day. i am still waiting and after another 7 weeks i rang back and they said it has been returned to australia post as they sent it to the wrong po box address and that i now need to send them a letter or fax with my signature and another address for it to be resent.yet it took them 2 weeks to take the money out!
