Totally get what you mean, I think its more of a social thing for the parent maybe its selfish but its not often I get all my friends together so meh Im excited LOL.
He is actually having 2 parties, one at home and one down in traralgon which is where im from so my family & friends down there dont miss out
present wise, DD is getting some clothes and a little flip out couch - would probably spend more but we simply don't have it. we are having a big-ish party for her, but that is on a budget - we did some work for my folks and they are paying for the party in return - so we have a limit on what we can spend!
