The truth? With great bloody difficulty. I sit on the floor with DS, lay him back with my legs over his shoulders, holding his eye open with one hand and doing the drops with the other. Walah! Worst experience ever. *Bows*
I have tried every other way and its not as effective for DS so Im stuck with the mean mummy way.
You should only need to pull the bottom lid down and put into there not on the actual eye, so you should be able to do when eyes are closed unless she's got them closed really tight
From experience the easiest way to do it is wrap her up in a blanket like you used to when she was tiny tiny. Then sit on her to stop her from getting her arms out. All she will be able to do then is turn her head side to side, but it makes it soooooooo much easier. Hope you try it, and I am looking forward to finding out if you found this easy
I just had to do this with my son. I ended up having to pin him down and peel his eyes apart... sounds terrible and I felt horrible about it. He would scrunch his eyes up so tight that the drops wouldn't even go in at all. Just rolled down his cheeks. He wouldn't open his eyes until he was sitting up. The doctor did tell me to put them in the OUTER corner of the eye...
