Deejoy "baby friendly" means they promote bonding and BFing and thus don't give out free samples of formula, adverts for them or discounts for them.
I didn't get a Bounty pack until DD was 4 weeks old, i was a homebirth and the midwife asked did i want her to bring me one and i declined, but my Health Visitor spotted that i'd not got one and brought it. It had a LOT of advertising (like a phonebook thickness wad of leaflets with AT BEST coupons attached with 10p off this or 30p off that). There were lots of leaflets for money off various brands of formula (i was BFing), a sample of organic formula, nappy cream i would never use (due to ingredients), washing powder i couldn't use (due to allergies), a nappy i didn't use (i was using MCN's) and single muslin spit-rag "branded" to the washing powder company- that was the only useful item, though i'd already bought 12 muslin cloths myself! It also had 2 parenting magazines which were incredibly mainstream and one of which listed all the reasons why first time mums like me should be prevented from choosing homebirth (right after i'd had one!).
It really depends on the sort of person you are as to whether you'll love it or not, but if you feel you've missed out you should just grab one at the pharmacy or order one- it's how a billion companies advertise, they're DESPERATE to give them out!

Bx I *think* from memory it's illegal in Australia to give out free samples of formula, adevrtise them or give discount vouchers for them (although that doesn't apply to toddler formula, only infant). I don't recall getting any of those in mine (but that was back when I was still in the fog). So I was curious about the 'baby friendly' thing too.
ETA- Oops, never mind. Just reread the last page and missymoo said she got a bottle teat in hers, so that might be it...

they actually vary hospital to hospital at least in victoria.
The hospitals get a choice of what goes in them, eg 2 years ago some had family block of cadbury choclate!!! was taken out after a few months as too many bags were being "used" as staff were opening and eating.
the one i got had a HUGE packet of jj wipes
