    Unhappy I feel sad...

My little girl isn't going to be my little girl for much longer. She took her first steps on her own two days ago!! She'll be walking soon and won't be a baby anymore, she'll be a toddler and she'll never be my little baby girl again

DH and I are talking more and more about baby no 2 and thinking of TTC around the middle of this year. My days with just me and my little girl are numbered

    Hi Heaven,

I think both our DD's are born on the same day?
My DD is not as fast movin as yours - she's just started mastering the crawling! But today is the day she's really clicked doing it, so I'm feeling a bit sad myself! Plus, she had her first sleep over at Grannys the other day, which was awesome for me, but also a bit sad.

It's funny how you can be so happy for them to do and discover new things, but it kinda breaks your heart at the same time....

    Hugs, and many of them!

I still feel that way. And even more so when i'm having bad day. She will always be more baby girl but i miss her baby ways and snuggle cuddles
Cherish each moment, cause like we have all experienced, they go way to quick!

Heaven, I know what you mean! DS isn't quite walking yet, but he has just turned 11 months, and it's hitting me suddenly that he's not really a baby anymore . I'm excited about what's to come - but also so sad that I'll never have my little newborn DS anymore...

I understand completely (even though I have a little baby!)

But I can tell you that it is so totally awesome (and yet completely frustrating at the same time) when they start talking to you and holding conversations and becoming this little person of their own ya know? So grieve for the "no more baby" but try to hold some excitement for what you are yet to experience - cos I can tell you - its just as good - its just different!

Thankyou guys!! Good to know that there are lots of people who have felt the same way. I am excited to watch her grow but sad I will never get this time again.

I remember before DD was born being sad that it would never be just me and DH anymore and now I'm not sad about it at all, it is so much better with DD!! I suppose it will be the same with a new baby too and I just can't imagine it now. All I can think is that it will be taking my time away from DD.
