My DS2 is around the same age as your DD2, and he's been doing a similar thing, so I can sympathise! Is your DD2 teething at the moment? My little man is, and I'm pretty sure thats what the problem is. He was sleeping through, but then when the teething started he's been waking up every 2-3 hours and often the only way to settle him is to breastfeed (he even starts looking for it now while I'm holding him, as in nuzzling me until he gets down near my breast - it is so obvious what he wants!). And often he wakes and cries when I take my nipple out of his mouth too.
I've had a bit of success with those Hylands teething tablets that dissolve on their tongue - if teething is her problem, have you tried these? I use those and bonjella and I have to say I've noticed some improvement. Other than that, if worst comes to worst I simply put him in bed with me and let him feed while I go to sleep, its been my saviour on a couple of occasions. Although I know you said that hasn't really worked for you, so I'm sorry thats not very helpful....
Good luck hun, many of us know exactly how you feel!
umm. i dont think it is teething though i could be wrong. she has all 4 top and 4 bottom teeth.. with a recent break through up to so i think she is ok on that front.
i tried that method last night,dr gordons.. for those who have tried it can you let me know your experience.
chels didnt cry like i thought she would actually. she came into our bed at about 10 then i fed her for a little while and pulled my nipple out she cried and fussed for about a minute then rolled away from me and i patted her to sleep. AWESOME> however..... it lasted about 2 minutes. we repeated the process.. this time she didnt cry at all just rolled over and went to sleep but again it lasted only about 5 mins. this continued for a while. did that happen to you? the little sleeps?
my bub was very similar, then I tried giving the dummy instead of the boob and it worked great! She only occasionally wont settle wit it and I have to feed her.
