My DD is 16 weeks old and has been using a dummy. She has been settling so well with it, and sleeping fairly well overnight too. If she woke in the night, I would pop the dummy back in and generally she would sleep through till about 7am.
The past 3 days she has refused the dummy outright, but also will not self settle. She woke constantly last night, and only settled with the boob. It is hard for me to spend the time patting her to sleep etc, as I have a 2yo who also needs my attention.
I ust add that she has a very snotty nose, and really just hasn't seemed herself for the past few days.
DS is also unwell and has had sympotms of croup, and DH has had flue like symptoms last week.
Anyway I guess I know the anwer. i will ahve to start patting her back to sleep, or start to feed her in the night again. *sigh* I was liking that she had night weaned.
Maybe she is coming down with something and will be over it in a few days?
Otherwise, I hate to say it, but she is almost 4 months and this is a common age for sleep regression and feeding issues. DS2's sleep went downhill a week or two before he hit 4 months. DS1 had BF'ing issues at the exact same age. Fortunately it was a phase for both of them and it did pass.
Oh Megie that's not fun I think it's pretty normal for them to start waking a bit at about the four month mark? I know that's not much consolation. Hope you get some good sleep again soon...
Maggie, Bella has a cold at the moment and is waking up and not wanting her dummy or bottle at the moment. So maybe that all the prob is. I use the blue sucker thing that Fess makes and suck out as much snot as I can and that helps.
Not all babie go through the 4 month sleep regression thing - Bella started sleeping through at 3 months and has done it eveynight ever since - so it could just the unwell that is making bub wake.
Fingers crossed fo you!
