DD currently has two, rory (from roary the racing car i assume) and Buzz (i assume buzz lightyear as she watched toy story yesterday) shes currently feeding buzz her dessert at the table, he even has a bib on so what do i do? silly questions i know! i love that she has a fantastic imagination i assume i encourage it???
Umm I had widget til I was 5 *shame* Widget had his own dinner every night, his own 'spot' in the car and even got a turn on the rides in shopping centres. Everyone had no choice but encourage it cz I was stubborn lol. I like to think Im 'normal' enough now though.
DD1 has Itty, Bitty and Dotty - gets hard to work out who is who, lol, but she is very definite. Sometimes they help us get her to do stuff - like eat, bath, behave....not sure how long that will last!!!
Imaginary friends are very normal and very common and are a healthy sign of development and should be treated as 'real' friends by the parents as they are to the chn! I have read quite a bit about them in the past and although there is no need to go overboard (as a parent) with the friend, don't dismiss them as not real...
