having baby s bum lower than their head can help to reduce wind. when ds was bad, taking him off the breast a couple of times during the feed and sitting him up allowed the air bubbles to be released and then he would have more milk. That was my theory on what it did, but it did seem to help. I had ds almost in sitting position to feed with his bottom quite a bit lower than his head - but still chest to chest.

Sometimes babies struggle with the flow in the early days. Trying different positions such as laid back nursing can be very helpful.
