My DD1 has an incredible memory. She is 4.5 but will tell us memories from when she was 2 frequently. She remembers when I was pregnant and wanted a specific cereal then a year later I wanted cereal again (hadnt had it in between) and she said oh that's not the one mummy had before, it's this one!

I think she gets it from me, just this weekend my mum was talking about friends of hers who I hadn't seen since I was about 8 and I said oh and described the dinner, the movie we watched and the house completely from that time we went there... so that's 18yrs ago with no going over the recollection of it in between those two points. I can remember lots of memories from back to around 4 myself but then it starts getting sparse with only a few from being 3 and only one before that off the top of my head. Who knows what is lurking to be triggered like that one night from being 8 was this weekend though!
