    knocks to the head

how many bumps on the head can one baby take! chelsea has fallen over and hit her head 3 times today. she is pulling herself up to standing on furniture and is constantly toppling over. we have tiles too.. with a shaggy rug so not much cushioning. she doesnt learn either no sooner has she toppled over she is trying to get up again!

They will persist regardless. My friend's little girl got 2 concussions in a week trying to pull herself up on furniture. the whole house was "baby proof" too. They learn by falling.

It's a worry but it's the way it rolls!

I've had those same worries too. When Peter was learning to stand/ walk, he clunked his head so many times, and he kept on trying. I had a admire his persistence!

All I can say is, they do actually learn fairly quickly and they don't hit their head (at least on the floor) as often after a while.

Just be aware of the signs of concussion, and if your little one isn't showing those, then she's probably fine, and let her get on with exploring!

yeah we have tiles too.. i dont worry as much as i used to as most of the time DD learns to fall down but not land on her head. But shes had some whopper falls, bumps, cuts, brusies.
