sorry i have no idea but will be very intrusted what you find out I still have a 2 yr old waking in the night and wont go back to sleep unless it with me... Do you know if the deal toddlers?
hi rainy
my sil is looking for similar in melbs for my nephew who is same age as our boys...also looking for a school tha does not do cc. she sent me some links recently as i am also looking (and thought we may do it in melbs) if this new phase does pass as i think it will (LOL) - they were to queen elizabeth centre and also mercy - not sure if that helps?
i dont know, i have not looked in depth at them yet but i know my SIL is looking for non CC options and sent me those 2. i will pm you the links she sent me.
I could be wrong, but I think when I looked at sleep schools, the QE one didn't do CC, which is why I thought they might be okay for us. Their website has a short kind of pod cast thing on some techniques, which might be of some use.
i went to the kooweerup sleep school.... it was the third sleep school i went to, and by the time we actually went, my little one happened to be sleeping ALOT better and i wasn't having any issues with putting her down for a nap (at that time, it then got worse again later)... anyhoo.... im not sure what you would call CC..... they do try all different types of settling methods and try to work out which is the most effective for each individual baby.... i guess there will be some amount of crying while they work out what bubs responds to and what he/she doesn't.... they certainly didn't condone leaving a baby to cry on its own.
overall i would recommend going... i found it to be a really comfortable supportive environment, they even had a pyschologist there who i had a session with on the day... you never know until you try, you might learn something, you might not... you can always interject and say you are not comfortable with a particular aspect if that happens to be the case - they were lovely people and certainly didn't bite... i didn't find any 'strict enforcing' types there.... just people trying to help and offer guidance.... of course you have to take everything with a grain of salt, use what works for you and discard the rest...
i don't believe they deal with toddlers, i remember hearing something about safety issues, by the time they are walking its a different matter due to the set up and baby proofing the place and all that... but don't quote me on that one.
