Talking lol, the things they learn

we have some friends over for state of origin at the moment, and we were out on our back deck whilst xavi was doing 'wees in the toilet'. he came out with nothing on, and crouched down, with his hands behind his testes, going in, in! we had no idea what he was talking about until he pulled out his hand and it had a tampon in it! was the funniest thing i've ever seen, he did get emotional that i wouldn't put it in, and i had to explain that only girls with a 'noonie' use them, that he has a 'winkie'. we turned around and matilda had one in her mouth...

not sure if our guests expected one of 'those' talks

    How cute!

I have to say that while the boys usually watch me go to the toilet when they are around, I do my best to avoid them seeing me using tampons. I have two very curious boys, and DS1 especially would be asking all sorts of questions about it for weeks - so for me, avoidance seems easier right now!!

PMSL!!! That's gold! I have the same problem as Mel, only luckily not with the older kids. every time he follows me into the loo now he points at the window sill where I keep them and says "up there". I would love to go to the loo on my own one day...

    That's so funny!
I keep my tampons in a pretty box on the window sill but DD is facinated when I take one out of the box and always tries to grab it to play with it. I just tell her "no, not until you are a really big girl"

    HAHAHAHAHAHA oh hun thats hilarious!!!!

We keep the tampons in their box on the toilet paper next to the toilet, and Jazz is always fascinated by them. As soon as she sees me heading towards the toilet she is racing to get there and try to get at them They are the 'U' ones that a pretty colours... I'll admit, they keep her amused while I'm on the toilet. Otherwise I'd have a curious monkey trying to see into the toilet between my legs. Kids eh! LOL!

I personally stopped using tampons when I had DD1 & haven't been able to bring myself to use them again yet, but I do try to sneak to the loo during those times, lol. Easier now we have an ensuite.

My first CHN told me about how her son pointed in a supermarket aisle & made sure she remembered to buy 'those things for your bloody bottom' !!!!

I remember my bestie & I being curious & experimenting at about 8. Thought we'd try a pad... thought we were so grown up til we had to peel the bloody things off!!!!!!!!!!!
We'd used them sticky side up.............

heheh, my poor baby boy - i hope he isn't emotionally damaged after that.

i'd never thought about closing the door, it was something that hadn't crossed my mind cause i figured he was only 2, but his little spongey brain was taking it all in... poor bugger
