    Unhappy Lump on head...???

After her blood in her poo now this~
Izzy has a little pea sized lump on her head - on the lower back part of her head under her skin. Its pretty small and moves around when I touch it. She isnt in any pain or discomfort when i touch it and has been otherwise fine... I have a Dr appointment and will be checking with the CHN at MG tomorrow - but want some reassurance again! Anyone elses bubby had this??

    Hi there,

My baby girl is nearly 8 weeks old and she too has a lump on the back of her head. I got worried also but apparently they are harmless and do not need treating. I read this in '"Baby Love" by Robin Barker. Have fun with your bub!

ive just noticed a small pea sized lump on the side of my 14 mth old's neck, a few centimetres under his ear. it seems fairly moveable, although i dont play with it too much. i also read in Baby Love that it could be swollen lymph glands, nothing to worry about, but of course us mum's always worry! i was thinking of going to the doctors.... could you let us know what the doctor says about your bubs?

Lucie had one I noticed when she was about 4 months - behind her ear. It was a dermoid - basically just a cyst and nothing sisnister but they can eventually become painful and infected (but it could be when they are 2, 20 or 50 - no one knows!) so they cut it out when she was about 8 months old. It was a quick day surgery op and no dramas at all and you can't even see the scar now. They'll probably ultrasound it to check out what it is. Good luck.

Thanks for the responses ladies!! I had the HCN check it today at MG... basically it is in her lymph gland and its completely normal..yay! She said they usually get them when they are sick (Izzy hasnt been though) and thye stay for a while. She also said it may move and we might find it has moved to a different place! So *sigh* its not serious and Im very relieved!
