Initially the Dr thought it to be cartilage left over from when the embryo is developing. Apparently it has something to do with the ears and is quite common!
Thats what my brother had. A branchial cyst. His went down as well.

Thanks everyone! The biggest lump is still around 1.5 cms round which is what it was at the 2nd ultrasound about 2 weeks ago (it grew to about 2 cms round) and it hasn't changed since Friday night/Saturday morning. I am really hoping that it is good news because I can't imagine it would shrink if it was something bad. Our next appointment with the paed is next Tuesday. Fingers crossed for good news.

    Thanks for all your support!

Hi! She's still healthy enough but the lumps shrunk a bit then grew again...they're at their biggest again. We go back to the paed tomorrow so hopefully I'll know more then...will check in again then and let you know more. Thanks for thinking of us.

Well, we saw the Paed yesterday... Our little princess has to have an operation ASAP to have the lumps removed. They've definitely grown and have changed in texture. He doesn't know what it is but he is hoping it is 'just' an Atypical Mycrobaterial Infection which is something you get with contact with dirt... We're going for an ultrasound at 1pm today and will have the op ASAP after that...either in Albury or Canberra...

It will be her second op...she had laser surgery earlier this year and will have it done many times in her life after probably (she has a birthmark just under her nose & on the side of her cheek). So unfair that she has to go through this too.

Thought I'd send a quick update... We had the surgery done and although there were complications our little princess is doing well. The test results came back saying it's not cancerous...YAY!! Sooooo happy!! Yet to find out what it actually is though...
