Made up his own game!

How cool is this... While we were away in Queensland Zander made up his own game & I think it's pretty clever!!

We were in the car with Zander, my sister & I and he comes out with "Tell me a word Aunty Mandy". She looked at me & I shrugged, he had never said that before. So she says "beach". His response was "We go to beach today & play on sand". Ok cool we get the game! So he asks for another word. Then it kept going!!!

Now two weeks later his stories are becoming more involved. He likes to ask for a word a few times a day & will just tell me a story about it. The best one so far was "Aunty Mandy" - "Aunty Mandy, sing song with me. Frog goes bloomp bloomp. And in the freezer!". To translate, Aunty Mandy taught him the Der Glumph Went the Little Green Frog song (bloomp bloomp). There is a verse about the frogs going BRRR in the freezer as well.

sarah, that is so gorgeous. he has a very active imagination, and obviously loves words. does he like reading too?

BTW what is the verse about the the little green frog in the freezer? I know the song, I sing it to aston, but didnt know there was verse about the freezer. lol

WOW Sarah that is amazing and so cool. I get so sad sometimes about Em growing up and then I hear stories like this and I just can't wait...

Sarah that is what we do with spelling words to make sure the kids understand them, they have to make up a sentence using the word- what a clever possum!!! I have Yr1 kids who have trouble doing it!!

Sarah - that is sooo gorgeous! Seriously from all the stories you have of Zander he sounds like the most adorable little boy ever... if you ever want to send him down my way i'll look after him Can't wait until DS grows up, hopefully he will also be cute like Zander.
