"Metho breath" - has anyone come across similar?

Jack has breath that I refer to as "metho breath" at the moment. I remember James having similar but can't remember at what age or what was going on with his development at the time that could be similar to Jack.

Has anyone come across this with their babies?

Hmmm...If it is what I am thinking of, my sister and I call it Medicine Breath.
I have found it usually happens when they're not feeling well, or teething or coming down with something.
I sometimes smell it on my husband and older kids and I can almost guarantee they will end up sick within the next few days.

Ahhhh...I'm going to keep an eye on it if it happens again. He does have a cold and was so unsettled and grumbly all weekend. Poor little tyke.

I wonder if there's a scientific explanation for it.
