Yep we use the milk wash and the shampoo. TBH they're OK, but not the miracle I would have loved. I've had more success with Method baby wash from woolies. Though the scalp cream did get rid of most of both kids persistent cradle cap - some is still there for both despite ongoing use.

Um, nope, considering I just brought it and it cost me $50 for the milk wash and soothing cream! LOL. Ah well, worth a shot?? I actually want to try it on DS1 too who has dry skin and a touch of eczema at times.
Mbear - he has had shocking issues with his skin so far. He had the WORST hormonal/milk pimples/rash I've ever seen. I kept waiting and waiting for it to go away but it just kept getting worse and worse and my poor little fella wasn't looking too pretty at all. Then he started rubbing at his face to the point that around his eyes would go all red and inflamed and freaked DH and I out a few times, it must have been uncomfortable for the poor little fella. So we ended up taking him to our GP and he gave us a mild cortisone cream which thankfully has cleared it up in a few days! I wanted to avoid cortisone but I was starting to get worried about scarring etc. He still has a few spots and a teeny bit of redness but nothing compared to the red, inflamed scaly mess it was. My other two had a spot here or there but nothing like this so I imagine he's not going to have the best skin...
I'm using the aromababy hair cleanser stuff but it's just not helping. Oiled him up with olive oil and brushed it through which did get rid of a lot of it but he still has really dry flaky stuff on the crown of his head.

Sounds like my DS, who is now 3 and I am still battling this. It isn't cradle cap, because it itches him. At only 3 months of age he was drawing blood from scratching at his poor little head. As far as I can ascertain it is a form of dandruff and it is eczema related (he is an eczema bub).
When he was little and had hardly any hair, what worked (for both skin and scalp) was Aveeno bath oil and body wash. He would lie down in the bath which had the bath oil in it and we would wash him all over (including head) with the body wash. And we would moisturise him every night after his bath...in fact we still do. Every night. If we skip more than 2 nights he starts feeling like a lizard again. He has inherited DH's skin and DH has gloomily predicted that DS will have skin issues until his late teens, same as him.
When he got bigger and wouldn't lie down in the bath anymore (and grew more hair) we started trying various shampoos and to be honest we still haven't hit on the Holy Grail.) We can't use commercial anti-dandruff shampoos, he is too young. I did try the Dermaveen shampoo which has the same colloidal oatmeal ingredient as the Aveeno but it didn't really have any effect.
When it was getting really bad a few weeks ago, out of sheer desperation I applied DermAid to his scalp which was messy but really worked but obviously that couldn't continue because it is a cortisone cream.
Now it's coming back again...and what I am finding is working is brushing his hair every day for as long as he will tolerate with a natural bristle hairbrush (my expensive Mason Pearson ). We are also using (ahem) L'Occitane anti-dandruff shampoo ($25 per bottle!!!!) but I was told I could take it back if it didn't work. Well, he still has flakes on his scalp but he isn't scratching anymore, so I wouldn't say the shampoo is a wonder cure but it certainly seems to be getting better results than anything else so far. Initially we were getting snowstorms off his scalp with the brushing but not as much anymore...so I'm hoping to eventually get rid of the flakes and then just keep them at bay with constant vigilance. Lucky me!
ETA: After all that forgot to talk about MooGoo!!! Yes, we tried it, no it didn't work for DS. So I used it on me. Lovely stuff. Just not for DS.
Mbear - did you just wash it with baby shampoo and then put conditioner on? What kind of conditioner did you use?? Baby stuff or just normal (or is that what you mean when you said alchemy? is that a brand??)
