moving from sleeping bag to quilt/cover?? - when?

    Hi
I have totally forgotten when we moved DS1 out of his grobags and into blankets...
DS2 seems to be resisting the sleeping bags... kicks his legs when we put him in etc. his sleep is pretty awful...
wondering what age is a good one to chg to a little quilt/blanket?
he has a sheet at the moment over his sleeping bag (though he does crawl out of it)...

what do you think? (he is nearly 1 - HOW DID THAT HAPPEN LOL)

DD1 came out of bags, about 2yrs 4mths, my mum made them bigger for her. I did it over summer so she could adjust without the worry of her getting cold.
    Good luck!!!
P.S. My *baby* is almost one too, not sure where the year has gone

MP, we had DD2 in her sleeping bag right up until spring of last year...so bang on 2 yo...although I noticed before then that she was getting a bit tidier about keeping her blanket on, so it could've been earlier. DD1 was a back sleeper and stayed tucked up cosy in her bed right from the beginning so *never* had a sleeping bag. So maybe try him under a blanket for a night or two and see how he goes?

We abandoned the bags once DS moved to a big bed (about 18months). It was winter & he wasn't very good at leaving blankets on, so we dressed him in warm fleecy suits with legs (which is what we still do now - although he's getting better at using blankets). In winter, we dress him in a singlet + flanelette PJs + polar fleece all-in-one - he's still warm enough, even if he ends up with no blankets on.

DD is 21 months and still in a sleeping bag. I think when she goes into a big bed it when we'll change over. Im not sure when that will be though!

try taking it off and see how he goes, that's all you can do I guess! I won't be taking DD out of hers for a while, she rolls all over the cot in her sleep so she'd either roll out from underneath the blankets or get tangled up in them and I'd be worried all night about her suffocating in them.
