We've just discovered today that DS has nappy rash (at least thats what we think it is) and we've used talc powder. What else can we use?

i've been using that curash powder when i've noticed DS get a little red. Works a treat!
Is it fairly mild? I use cornflour on DD which if it is only a mild case, clears it up pretty much overnight. I also have a tube of Curash which is good when the cornflour isn't working, not that Ive had to use it many times.
I think Moo Goo (available online) is really great too, but you would have to wait at least a few days for delivery as I don't think you can buy it in stores, I could be wrong though.
Tinderbox Calendula Ointment. And don't use powder!!
Thanks ladiesWill pick up some Curash tomorrow if there are any chemists open
You might be able to get some from Woolworths/Coles, they should both be open tomorrow![]()
Talc powder in particular has been linked to ovarian cancer in girls - little grains can travel up and cause problems. Other powders aren't as bad but there have been cases of babies choking on them so it's generally recommended that they not be used at all. I have never used powder on either boy, there are plenty of alternatives that are safer.
I swear by cornflour.... even when DS2 got bad rashes it'd clear it up, and a lot quicker than anything else we tried before.... now it's the only thing I use!![]()
Thanks ladies
We've got this small trial pack of Sudocrem and been using that all yesterday. There's still redness and some little bumps, but it seems to have gone down a little bit. DH has a dr appt tomorrow, so I might tag along and take him with us and get the dr to check him out
