New baby on the way.....can they sense change is on the way?
I'm currently around 37wks pg with no 2, DS hasn't shown much interest but does know there is a baby in Mummy's tummy & that's about it.
What I'm wondering is towards the end can the sense the change is on it's way?
DS has become an absolute nightmare to say the least, he's just a different child. He won't let me leave the room, the minute I do he is running after me calling out to me. Or if he can't see me he starts crying before he even thinks to look for me. And he's now wanting me to lie down until he falls asleep.....this I don't want to do as it will create a habit I çan't committ to with another on the way. I'm dreading how he will go with DH when the baby does come. He won't let DH get him out of the car or even push his pram and he gets soooooo wound up, kicking & screaming like never before....tonight we had to leave him to it until he just zonked. It was terrible.....has anyone else had something similar around the time of a new baby arrival???
I think so - my DD1 was so clingy and whingy for the last few weeks of pregnancy. It drove me batty! She settled down completely as soon as DD2 was born.
Alexzander was a similar age to your DS when Juliette was born (3yrs 2m) and he did the same. He was naughty above & beyond what was normal for him. I think they know *something* is happening soon. Mummy can't move quickly either which makes it easier to test the boundaries
DD1 started going funny once I really started showing. Cried for me all the time, wouldn't let anyone else do anything for her except me. Others I know had same thing, I think the definately can sense something.
DS has just started becoming "Daddy's Little Boy" now. So, he's kinda doing the opposite to everyone here and is giving me space. Makes me feel a bit sad. I said to DH today that when the baby arrives, I bet he becomes "Mummy's Little Boy" again
