No poo nappy in over a week!!!!!!!!! HELP

    Hello,

My darling little boy is happy and doing well. Breast feeding... and feeding good. Taking both boobs every 4 hours or so. Wet nappies galore.. nice and full. Everything seems to be fine.. other than the lack of poo's. Now normally I would be thrilled not to have to deal with a poo nappy!! But seeing as its been more than a week... im getting a little worried. DO i need to be worried? Is it normal? Could there be something wrong with my BreastMilk?

    Most grateful for your input!

Our record is 11 days so please don't worry.

Apparently bf babies can go for up to 3 weeks (well that is what my Baby Love books says)

Your breastmilk is wonderful, the reason your DS isn't pooing is that he is getting just the right amount of yummy goodies from your milk.

ETA: I assume he isn't uncomfortable or constipated? If he seems happy then enjoy the fact that you don't have to clean up sloppy poos for a while.

It can be common for BF babies to go up to one week without a dirty nappy. Alternatively he could be going through a growth spurt - babies tend to have less or no dirty nappies during this time. You said he was happy and doing well, so if him not having a bowel movement was upsetting him then you would know about it so I would say he is just saving up a good one for you

Alex went three whole weeks once... and I washed the baby, the jumpsuit, the sheets, the blankets, the wall (and later, the curtains...) it was a WHOPPER!

I hope you enjoyed it LOL!
