DD HATES having anything on her hands. She could get the slightest bit of crayon/dust/dirt/grass anything on her hands and she will kick and scream until you wipe it off or give her something to wipe it off. She HAS to have a piece of paper towel or washer sitting next to her when she eats meals so if she gets food on them she can wipe it off and again, if you forget to give it to her - all hell breaks lose.

Is this kind of behaviour normal for this age? I wouldn't say i've been protective over this kind of thing - in fact i encourage her play in the dirt/sand etc.
