well we had what i can only describe as one of the most HORRENDOUS nights with DD (i think this is on par with the newborn madness! eeppp!).

she went to bed AOK at 7.30pm, but then woke at 11.30pm and screamed (and i mean, break down the walls type howling and hysterics) for FOUR HOURS. we finally got her down again at close to 3am. we tried all the usual suspects (cuddling, patting, feeding, leaving her to it, more feeding, nappy change...) but nothing was working not even good ol' boob (OMG!).
this is a bub that usually sleeps all night without worries and if she does wake it is easy to get her back to sleep with a pat or at worst a boob. but last night she was hysterical... back-arching, flinging around the cot and fighting on the boob.

what do you think it was? and have you guys had this happen? do you think it was a bad dream, or just a symptom of her age? and i think most importantly, how did you deal with it? by the end DH and i were beside ourselves (factor in complete exhaustion and severe sunburn on my side so you get the happy picture! LOL!)....

arrghhh i just hope i am stronger tonight if it has to happen again!!
