Nope, haven't joined a mothers group yet. I too am in SA and had to call child and youth health myself last week as no one had contacted me yet ("oh you should have had a visit by now..."). They are coming thurs so hopefully something can be organised then. Movies sounds good. Need to work out what cinemas around here do mums and bubs.... Getting outof the house sounds great. Might head to the shops later to pick up a couple of things.
To be honest, I found the baby stage boring and didn't really enjoy motherhood until DD could walk! It was just like going through the motions of feeding, changing, rocking, sleeping... taking care of her out of love rather than personal joy. Now she is a toddler the days are a million times more fun! I don't think it is that odd to feel bored and I wouldn't feel bad for feeling that way
Oh yeh, coffee, movies, walks to the park to sit and read a magazine, mums group picnics, take DH lunch..Enjoy those days hun..They are such special memories for me!
I'm sure most of the previous posters have mentioned these things but will write down what comes to mind:
1. Carrier
2. Walks in the pram
3. Drives in the car
4. Do housework WITH carrier
5. Can you try one of the electric swings, my girls LOVED them and i could do housework.
6. Mums N Bubs movie sessions
7. Mothers Group or Play Group
i so remember how you feel!!!! I would it so boring and repetitive! all i ever did was washing, cleaning and going to the shops! it was boring but like one of the others said, things do get busier when they become a bit more active and you get more time to yourself when they work out a decent day time nap cycle. Good luck hun!
