I'd suggest a bag, definitely. We have taken our BJ City Elite on 8 flights so far and it hasn't been an issue but we have got a proper BJ travel bag for it. Friends of ours borrowed our cheap stroller for a holiday and had to replace the padding on both handles as they'd been damaged by the airline.
We have just returned from Singapore and one of our good suitcases was slightly damaged and that isn't the first time - one of the wheels was broken on our last holiday in September. I just don't trust the airlines when it comes to 'handling with care'It would be most frustrating to arrive at your destination only to find your pram is damaged. Not a great start to your holiday
