DD has been pulling her nappy off in the cot at sleep time the last few days at daycare/home. When i'm at home all day we use cloth but other times with use disp. How can i stop her from pulling them off? or is this just a phase that she'll stop on her own.
Today driving home from daycare she undid her seatbelt twice! She has a carseat obviously but scared the c**p out of me when i looked in the back and shes playing with the undone car seat!!!! How can i stop her doing this? I did raise my voice (something i don't usually do) as i was so freaked out but it.
For sleep time I suggest you put a onesie on over the nappy so that she can't get at it. The Bonds Ezysuits are really hard for them to access the nappy in. If it isn't too hot a full jumpsuit or sleeping bag will stop her from being able to get her nappy off.
The car seat problem - you can get covers for the buckle that makes them more secure but I'm not sure where you get them from.
It's a stage that can last a really long time! Both of mine have done this. To stop getting DD1 doing it in the cot, i put her in a sleeping bag with a safety pin holding the zip together as she could do zips from about 17 mths old. Then all in one body suits worked well as well as shorts that were tricky to undo e.g. with zips and buttons rather than elastic waist.
DD2 has worked out how to wriggle out of a tight fitting car seat, and also how to get out of it with a securap which is supposed to be kiddie proof wriggle proof but she's done it many times. I'm off to buy another car seat wriggle stopper called a houdini stop (or similar) as she's just getting out of every 5 point harness there is.
For the carseat butten buy a small piece of velcro & stick the scratchy side on the button (with scratchy side up) most kids dont like the feel of it when they press hard on it
