    Pimply bumps on DD's face

    Hey Everyone

Over the past few days DD has been getting these little pimply bumps over her face, it started off small but is now getting more and more and its more on one side and not the other.

Is this normal? Is it just something the body is going through?

Very normal V!! Izzy went through a really pimply bumpy stage - to the point that she looked like she had some sort of weird contagious rash all over her face and head! It lasted about 2 weeks from memory and then cleared right up! My HCN said it was partly the hormones in breastmilk and also their little bodies getting rid of stuff from the womb (or something along those lines!). Im sure it will clear up soon hun. Oh BTW Izzy still gets little rashes on her face but now its usually just on one spot!

They sound like milk pimples or otherwise known as Millea. They will eventually disappear.

Yes these are very common as everyone has said.....just "milk pimples" - Charlie got them very bad, he had very clear skin when born & everyone commented on how lovely it was, then all of a sudden they were like "oh, what's wrong with him" - he still has them now but not as bad. I was told not to pick, or scratch them as they scar - don't know how true that is.

    Xavier has them too.

I noticed the day after a bath they look better, so I've been trying to remember that on non bath days to wash his face with some cotton buds and luke warm water. Especially 'cause he's such a messy little feeder and gets milk all over his face, and behind his ears and all over mum!

I'm doing so much washing at the moment 'cause my clothes keep getting milk stained

Hey just checking in this thread again!!

The milk pimples on Avaleigh's face is slowly clearing up but it has now gone to her neck and a little bit on her chest. Is this still normal??!! I am starting to worry that it is something else.. well actually my mum is making me worry!

Have you asked your mch nurse, or your doc if you are going for other reasons?

I noticed xaves pimples flare up a bit when he's warm, and he always has a couple on his chin, which I think is because he's a messy bugger when he eats. I need to wash his face after every feed, but I'm naughty and just pat it dry with a cloth 'cause he usually gets tired and groggy and I want him to sleep, water would wake him up.

does she get warm, or could she be doing little chuck ups down her front maybe?
