Ashley is 20mths old and we r thinking of taking him to a pool. whichi have no probs with i want him to learn to swim and be ok with the water. is he too young? should i look into lessons?

20 months is not too young at all! We took my DS to a pool when he was just 2 months old!
We're looking into getting him into lessons now and he's 8 months old, in my opinion the earlier they become familiar with water and swimming the better!

My DD has been going to swimming classes since she was 6 mths old. She learnt really quickly, starting so young, and loves the water. She's has been in a class on her own this year, before she turned 2!

Hi Jessica, I don't think 20 months is too young either. You should definitely go with the lessons, they are lots of fun for the kids.

20 months id definently not too young. My neice started at 4 months and I plan to start DS then as well.

I started my other 3 kids much older, around 2 to 3 years old, I really regret that as none of them really enjoy the water.

Not too young at all. DD has been going to the pool since she was 3 months and started swimming lessons at 6 months. Now at 2.5 yrs she can jump in and swim underwater to me. Just make sure you go to a place that focuses on water safety rather than just how to swim. At such a young age water safety id the most important thing you can teach them in the pool.

We had our first time in the pool a bit over a month ago! DS absolutely loved it!!
