Pooping!!!

Hi all

DD is three weeks old and hasnt done a poop since midday on Saturday (2 1/2 days). Is this normal or should I be worried? SHe seems to be a bit uncomfortable and is making lots of bum noises but nothing is coming out. Up until Saturday she had been doing multiple poops each day.

Is she bfed? If so this is very normal. Bfed babies go up to 10 days without a poo after the first couple of weeks. It's one of the benefits of bfing LOL! And yes, they will still pass lots of wind.

I don't think it's normal for ffed bubs though - maybe someone else knows for sure.

Thanks melanie - yes she is bf so I guess I dont need to worry then which is a relief!! Thanks for the info
