I have a Beema pram by Swallow, we got it from Babyco. It has a bassinette attachment that you can purchase seperately and there are a few different 'Beema's' in different price ranges. We went for the Beema Q over the standard Beema as it has a water resistant material and weighs 11kg's I think from memory whereas the older model weighed 13kg's, doesn't sound much but we live in the Dandenongs on a hill on a dirt road so I didn't want to be pushing any more than I had to It has tyres that pump up, comes with the pump and the 'rims' if you like are steel and powder coated so they won't rust. It has 3 seating positions for bubs, fully reclined-for sleeping and to put the bassinette in, and two seating positions. And it's a 3 wheeler before I forget, has a great turning circle and is easy to contol, the brake is easy to operate as well, I've heard othe prams the brakes are hard?? You can also lock the front wheel so it just goes in a straight line which is what I'd say you'd need for jogging maybe, or the front wheel can be left unlocked for better steering.
It's been great on our hilly dirt road, have had no problems. The only downfall I'd say is that when the pram is fully reclined it's hard to get things in and out of the carry basket underneath the pram but other than that I love it and when I go to the shopping centre we see heaps of them, so many you can play tag!! If you have any more questions feel free to ask
The Mountain Buggy has a bassinette attachment and can also be taken on rough terrain. I didn't get the bassinette as it was an extra $250 on top of the pram and only lasts for a few months as it is generally used for a newborn. I however just used the 'normal' part of the pram for DD for when she was newborn and still using it! I love it to jog with (not now with fat tummy though) and my sister tooking it trekking (not my pram but her MB) in New Zealand.
Hi Ashlee, I second the Mountain Buggy. I got the bassinette attachment and it was great. We used it with the pram and also on it's own. Because DD slept in our room for the first 5 months, if I ever wanted a sleep in, DH would get DD to sleep in the bassinette and keep her out in the lounge room with him. While we did only use if for a few months I am glad we bought it. The MB is a great pram too - goes over bumpy terrain no problem and is really easy to steer.
I third the Mountain Buggy. I certainly put mine through a lot and it is still going strong! I had to buy a new inner for the tyre a month ago - but that has been my only issue
I have a baby jogger city classic, which has a gorgeous basinet and is perfect for jogging (thus the brand name!) It is well made, easy to fold and lighter than most 3 wheelers on the market. I love it!
Thank you so much for your suggestions guys, I'll go on a little google expedition and have a look at them all, weigh up the pros and cons against price and see what wins
