    Purple hands - update

Well we had another paed's appointment this morning about Mackenzie's swollen and sometimes purple hands. Basically there is nothing wrong which is good news! He explained that often people's bodie's react to cold or change in temperatures by taking the heat to their core to protect vital organs and that's why you get purple hands and feet.

Mackenzie's body seems to do this in a more extreme way and thefore the hands are swollen and purple. She will most likely grow out of this but he is going to monitor her. We don't have to do anything different. At least now we have an explanation for her puffy hands!!
