yep BF babies can go up to I think 10 days or so without pooing.. so i dont think you need to rusho0ut to a dr as long as he has enough wet nappies, seems content etc.
He is quite young so if you are worried you could call the healthline just to double check as I am not 100% sure bc of his age.

yep thats very normal. Try some baby massage, a warm bath and bycicle legs to get his bowels moving.

Very normal for brestfed bub to go longer periods without pooing. Breast milk is absorbed very effeciently so there is less waiste to expel. Althugh it is normal for a bf bub to poo everyday too. My DD goes up to 3 days between poos.

I think anything up to a week is ok and hopefully someone else can confirm that for me.

As long as bub has plenty of wet nappies, is gaining weight, is alert and has good skin tone then all is ok

but be ready for a possible poosplosion when he does go!!

my DS took about 5 days after his first poo in hospital to go & was then going abnout 3 times a day until the last two weeks when he has had a couple of days between them - far messier & smellier than the daily ones!

OMG what a gorgeous, gorgeous little man you have!!!

The poo....my first 2 were BIG pooers... all the time. Elijah, however, is a less frequent poo machine. In fact the first time he went about 6 days he decided he needed to poo and we were at the shops... I called him Mr Whippy after that cos it just wouldn't stop coming out! lol. I just had to keep wiping and used a couple of nappies to catch it cos he started again after I put a clean one under him hehe. Also the wiping of the bottom can stimulate them to poo so that's what kept happening!!

OMG YES THEY STINK if it's not regular and they're also a LOT more hmmmm peanut butter consistency. He still poos less than the others did... he is probably on average now about every 3-4 days. You'll get to know that it's going to come within 24 hours or less when the farts get rank...lol sorry but that's how I started working it out.

Just wish that Oskar would cut back...lol he goes about 3 times a day so I'm kinda glad Elijah doesn't cos I'd be up to my elbows otherwise!!!
