My older one has very pale skin, I don't think he'd tan. I slather him in sunscreen and he still goes beet red just from the heat!

My niece has quite olive skin and I've noticed she's a bit brown this summer, but I also know my sister is pretty vigilant with the sunscreen too. So maybe it doesn't matter - if they're going to tan they will regardless?
