Yesterday i was taking the cot apart to get it out of our room to replace it with a mattress, and then discovered that i can actually remove a side and keep the cot whole. I have been cursing for months because i thought i couldn't do it without adding extra bits to stabilise it.

DD was with me when i was doing it (and trying to steal the bolts) and had a bit of a play. I put the cot up against our bed with the open side to our bed.

Last night she went to sleep at 8.30 (pretty exciting just that bit) in the cot, DH resettled her at 10 (he could lie on the bed while she went to sleep) and then....she stayed there until 5!!! That is a first for us. She half woke a coule of times but i just put my arm in and she went back to sleep.

I fed her at 5 and she is asleep in our bed with DH. Pretty good for a first night.
