For us buying a sippy cup is like so Im wondering what everyone else had found good and value for money??? Most recently we have been using the Nuby flip straw cups (good for awhile but straws have started leaking) and some Thomas cup thing (not sure on brand, one leaked straight away and the other I can barely get enough force to drink from it so DS has no hope!!) Also tried the two-handled cup things with the silcone spout....spout gets holes chewed in it or DS's nose pushes the spout in so it leaks!!
So please tell me.....whats good whats bad whats brilliant!! lol
I love the take and toss sippy cups...both my 2 and 3 year old us them and my 1 yr old has just started pinching theirs and using them.
If they get left behind it doesn't matter to much as they are not expensive.
I also find the lids really good...they have been thrown of high chairs and don't open up.
We just use a normal cup for both ds1 and ds2 (3.5 yo and 19 months)
They also both use straws if we only have glass cups
For out we use Kathmandu bottles w straws
Hope tat helps...
We used the take and toss cups from 6 months of age for both kids. My 20 month old DD has now decided she doesn't DO sippy cups and we just give her normal plastic cups.
I'd honestly just go the take and toss cups.
My DS was on just a normal cup from around 18 months (we got given a few of those plastic bunnykins etc ones with the handle when he was born), you could start trying to introduce a normal cup.
Otherwise, I have just bought DD (9 months) a new one, its (after having about 3 magmags leak, and a couple of others) a heinz baby one that is used like a straw, but has a hard spout (so straws don't get chewed), thats been great.
You could alwys just go for the popper bottles (like the ones you get water in if you get a happy meal from maccas).
You can also buy no spill lids that fit most PET bottles, I think by Kala, they are a pack of 3, for $10...I have one in the car, one in the house and one in the pram, great for if you're out and about, bung it on a bottle of water and you're set.
