red spots- newborns face

Hi,

DS is almost 5weeks, and the last week , i have noticed little red spots on his face, like insect bites. i think that this is a normal rash for newborns, but can anyone else clarify this. thanks

It's completely normal, they sound like milk spots. DD had them for a while as a newborn and some were just red spots and others more like pimples. They went away after a while. Just make sure not to pick at them.

yeah i think it is caused by hormones and is completely normal i was told to but breast milk on them

Xander had them so bad he looked like he had a rash (it wasn't - just pimple things). Cleared up in about a week. Perfectly normal.

Totally normal. Joshua always had them as a newborn. They have settled down now. The doctor told me that his skin is getting use to the air and that it the effects of it.
