    restaurant activities

I am organising my DS's christening and there will be quite a few kids... We will be having lunch afterwards at a restaurant and I wanted to provide something to help keep the little kids entertained in their high chairs. Apart from the usual colouring book, what else has kept your children entertained ? (even if just for 10 mins )

The ages range from about 1 to 5.

    Thanks.

Wow, good question and good on you for thinking ahead!

How about finger puppets (maybe for the older 4-5 year olds)? I saw some at Ikea yesterday and I think you get a pack of five for about $8-$10.

Cant really think of anything else off the top of my head but will be checking in to see other responses.

You might be able to find something suitable at The Reject Shop (in the art and craft area - but obviously not everything is going to suit that age group). Otherwise, books are good. Sticker books can be very good - both stickers and colouring and not too expensive.

    Good luck!

Bubble bottles, small crafty things - glitter balls and paper, you can get balloon decorations - faces and feet that can be coloured in and attached to their own balloon, party blowers, cheap books from the $2 shop.
