    Rocking on hands and knees

When DS is on his tummy he gets up on his hands and knees and starts to rock back and forward quite fast. Is this a sign that crawling won't be that far away?

Yep - lots of the bubs in my Mum's group did that (Not DS - he was a commando crawler) One of them went from rocking to crawling backwards! He's running now.

yep crawling not far off so look out!! enjoy things as they are now as when they start getting mobile it gets full on!! (they can do the rock thing for quite a few weeks though before they actually master crawling)

James was a mad keen rocker and then all of a sudden it stopped and he took off crawling like a crazy man.

Claire did the rocking thing for a few weeks before she decided it was just easier to commando crawl. She did that for a week or so and now she is crawling properly.

Zander was a rocker before he started crawling too. I think they understand the motion, but just can't quite get it co-ordinated to start with.
