Hi all!

Our little man is 6 months old and just over the last two months we've managed to start getting him to sleep during the day in his cot (he wouldn't sleep at all during the day before!)... To get him to sleep, we have to put on some soothing music...sing softly to him...and pat his bottom gently... He won't put himself to sleep without our help during the day (but over night he wakes and puts himself back to sleep). Does anyone have any ideas of things to try to get him to learn to put himself to sleep during the day??

And another question...during the day he only sleeps for 20 - 40 minutes most times (3 or 4 times a day)... He usually wakes up screaming/crying and more often than not has a big burp after we get him up. We usually burp him for ages after a feed and don't put him down till he's had a couple of burps, or even after half an hour or more of play time... We've tried getting him to have a burp then resettling him but it doesn't seem to work. Any ideas how we could better get the burps up and/or get him to sleep longer?? (he has really bad reflux and is on Losec tablets which help heaps already)

Thanks in advance!
