My DD has developed a phobia of the bath since she vomited in bed one day and I gave her a bath after it. That was about a month or so ago now and I thought she'd get over this phobia. She has gotten better and will now actually get into the bath without too much convincing, but still absolutely screams when I wash her hair or even just wet it. She will not cooperate at all and makes it all 100 times worse with all of her thrashing and screaming. She has long hair and I need to wash it every 2 days or so. What can I do???
DS loves the bath - but hates any water over his head too
i've been scooping it up really quickly and counting as I go - cos he loves hearing people count to ten. Still doesn't like it, but makes it less traumatic for the poor bugger!!!
How about putting a doll in the bath - one scoop of water for dolly's hair - one for lily's?
Hey maybe it is a thing with her hair. I was at target today and they have those jugs that sit around the top of their forehead and helps minimise the water over her face. Good luck. Have you tried her in the shower???
it must be so hard getting her gorgeous hair washed Have you thought of getting in with her till the phobia passes? I know it might be squishy but you could get in for a couple of minutes till she is happy then get out and let her play?
