Hi, DS (23mnths) has 3 pairs of good winter shoes. But he likes to wear the same ones day in day out.. If I ever think of putting the most expensive ones on, he throws a wobbly.. I have even mixed them all up, and say go and get your shoes, and he will always pick the cheap pair, I want him to wear the other Clark ones as they are so nice, but not interested.
Anyone else have a child who likes to wear certain things only.. Also would be in his PJs all day if I let him, hates taking them off in the morning.
I even told him this morn that Bob(builder) wears the shoes he doesn?t like, but didn?t fall for it
But when we go outside he is happy to wear him gumboots and slippers at night, just some shoes fussy (weird! )
Hi there. My son was very fussy with shoes and still is... With having such BIG feet it was hard to get shoes to fit him that werent too heavy. Now being almost 4 he has a size 12-13 size shoe... (others his age only wear a 6-7) i have to let him pick a selection of shoes that are his size so i know he'll wear them. If i pick them he refuses still to wear them.
Also my son was and is still the same with PJ's i tell him there all sweaty and dirty and need to be washed for that night again. (took him a while until we let him put them straight in the washing machine help me press the buttons and then we hang them up together>.. (he always forgets about them in few minutes anyways)
up till may all jack would wear was crocs he refused any of his other shoes then one day he wore a good pair without socks I was so happy as it was his christening day and he wore good shoes, now he will wear any and every shoe excpet for his slippers he will get there I am sure
DS only has one pair of shoes so I can't help you... I'm just amazed that little children have more than one pair! Is it needed?
However, it is worth considering that they don't want to wear an uncomfortable pair of shoes, so make sure the hated pair of shoes fit well. I'm sure I don't need to remind people that feet should be measured every 6 weeks or so to ensure that the shoes fit properly, and take shoes along to the fittings so they can check how the foot is inside the shoe. I know I'm anal about this (and the local shoe shop must hate me because I go in every month or so and never buy anything!) but having had HUGE problems from ill-fitting and stupid shoes I don't want anyone else to suffer as a child.
But to answer the question, DS will only sleep if he's in his pirate pyjamas. His knight/dragon/monster jammies and he's up all night. At the moment, sometimes he wants something else. He also is picky about which nappy I'm allowed to put on him, he needs a choice of fitted, AIO or flat EVERY TIME or he won't let me get the nappy on!
